I used to think that brunch was only a food fad that my grandparents participated in, during the 50's and 60's. However, as I have gotten older, and the trend has grown exponentially in popularity, I am slightly disappointed I didn't pay more attention to it when I was younger.

It’s Nathaniel from TermiNatetor Kitchen and I am back with another tasty Toastimonial. Today I’m sharing my recipe for Turmeric Milk French Toast. Now, if you haven’t had turmeric milk (or sometimes called “golden milk”) before, here is the run down. Turmeric milk is the infusion of either dry turmeric powder or fresh turmeric root into milk. Traditionally, it is an Indian drink most commonly used for treating specific diseases as well as a tonic for general health. Now turmeric milk is the cool new libation on the foodie scene that everyone and their brother is talking about, and for good reason. Two words: it’s amazing!
March Madness is upon me. It’s my favorite time of the year, but there are so many college basketball games to watch that I lose what little resolve to cook that I had in the first place. I have usually at least two games on simultaneously: one on the TV and one on my laptop. On the first two days of the tournament, there is sometimes a third game playing on my iPad.

When I first saw it on the menu at a trendy brunch spot in none other than the Mission neighborhood in San Francisco, I looked over my shoulder to see if I could spot my guardian angel. Alas, she was working invisibly as usual, placing me in the path of my destiny in such a way as to make me believe I’d chosen it myself.
